Wise。Why,often-timesitisattendedwithMurder,withthemurderoftheBabebegottenonthedefiledbed。HowcommonitisfortheBastard-getterandBastard-bearer,toconsenttogethertomurdertheirChildren,willbebetterknownatthedayofJudgement;yetsomethingismanifestnow。

TheAdulteresswillhuntforthepreciouslife。Whosocommittethadulterywithawoman,lackethunderstanding,andhethatdothitdestroyshisownsoul。{57c}AnWhoreisadeepditch,andastrangewomanisanarrowpit。Herhouseinclinestodeath,andherpathesuntothedead。Nonethatgoinuntoherreturnagain,neithertaketheyholdofthepathoflife。Shehathcastdownmanywounded;yeamanystrongmenhavebeenslainbyher,herhouseisthewaytoHell,goingdowntotheChambersofDeath。{58a}

Wise。True。Butsuppose,thatinsteadofalltheseJudgments,thissinhadattendingofitallthefelicitiesofthislife,andnobitterness,shame,ordisgracemixedwithit,yetonehourinHellwillspoilall。O!thisHell,Hell-fire,DamnationinHell,itissuchaninconceivablepunishment,thatwereitbutthroughlybelieved,itwouldnipthissin,withothers,inthehead。Buthereisthemischief,thosethatgiveupthemselvestothesethings,dosohardenthemselvesinUnbeliefandAtheismaboutthethings,thepunishmentsthatGodhaththreatnedtoinflictuponthecommittersofthem,thatatlasttheyarriveto,almost,anabsoluteandfirmbeliefthatthereisnoJudgmenttocomehereafter:Elsetheywouldnot,theycouldnot,nonotattempttocommitthissin,bysuchabominablelanguageassomedo。
