TowardtheTuesdayafternoon,vaguerumorsofsomethingwrongatthecottagefoundtheirwaythroughMajorMilroy’sservantstotheservantsatthegreathouse,andattemptedineffectuallythroughthislatterchanneltoengagetheattentionofMr。
