  Iamsogladthatsheconsentedtoholdbackandletusmendothework。

  Somehow,itwasadreadtomethatshewasinthisfearfulbusinessatall,butnowthatherworkisdone,andthatitisduetoherenergyandbrainsandforesightthatthewholestoryisputtogetherinsuchawaythateverypointtells,shemaywellfeelthatherpartisfinished,andthatshecanhenceforthleavetheresttous。

  Wewere,Ithink,allalittleupsetbythescenewithMr。Renfield。

  Whenwecameawayfromhisroomweweresilenttillwegotbacktothestudy。

  ThenMr。MorrissaidtoDr。Seward,“Say,Jack,ifthatmanwasn\'tattemptingabluff,heisaboutthesanestlunaticIeversaw。

  I\'mnotsure,butIbelievethathehadsomeseriouspurpose,andifhehad,itwasprettyroughonhimnottogetachance。“
