Nexthearguesfrommetaphysics，asfollows：“TheCopernicantheoryoftheearth’smotionisagainstthenatureoftheearthitself，becausetheearthisnotonlycoldbutcontainsinitselftheprincipleofcold；butcoldisopposedtomotion，andevendestroysit——asisevidentinanimals，whichbecomemotionlesswhentheybecomecold。”
