  Q。Isthereanydifferencebetweenhypnosisproducedbymechanicalmeans,suchasrevolvingmirrors,andthatproducedbythedirectgazeoftheoperator(fascination)?

  ANS。Thisdifferenceis,webelieve,alreadypointedoutintheanswertoQuestion1。Thegazeoftheoperatorismorepotent,hencemoredangerous,thanthesimplemechanicalpassesoftheHypnotizer,who,inninecasesoutoften,doesnotknowhow,andthereforecannotwill。ThestudentsofEsotericSciencemustbeawarebytheverylawsoftheoccultcorrespondencesthattheformeractionisperformedonthefirstplaneofmatter(thelowest),whilethelatter,whichnecessitatesawell—concentratedwill,hastobeenacted,iftheoperatorisaprofanenovice,onthefourth,andifheisanythingofanoccultistonthefifthplane。
