MeriamunpassedstealthilybehindtheheadoftheWanderer,whomightnotseeherbecauseofthestraitnessofhisbonds。Yetitseemedtoherthatheheardsomewhat,forheceasedfromsingingandturnedhiseartohearken。Shestoodawhileinsilencelookingonhimsheloved,whoofalllivingmenwasthegoodliestbyfar。Thenatlengthhespokecraftily:
