  Annestoodamongthem,brighteyedandanimatedasthey;

  butMatthewsuddenlybecameconsciousthattherewassomethingaboutherdifferentfromhermates。AndwhatworriedMatthewwasthatthedifferenceimpressedhimasbeingsomethingthatshouldnotexist。Annehadabrighterface,andbigger,starriereyes,andmoredelicatefeaturesthantheother;evenshy,unobservantMatthewhadlearnedtotakenoteofthesethings;butthedifferencethatdisturbedhimdidnotconsistinanyoftheserespects。Theninwhatdiditconsist?
