  Now,bythistime,CaptainCredencewasreturnedandcomefromthecourtfromEmmanueltothecastleofMansoul,andhereturnedtothemwithapacket。SomyLordMayor,hearingthatCaptainCredencewascome,withdrewhimselffromthenoiseoftheroaringofthetyrant,andlefthimtoyellatthewallofthetown,oragainstthegatesofthecastle。Sohecameuptothecaptain’slodgings,andsalutinghim,heaskedhimofhiswelfare,andwhatwasthebestnewsatcourt。ButwhenheaskedCaptainCredencethat,thewaterstoodinhiseyes。Thensaidthecaptain,’Cheerup,mylord,forallwillbewellintime。’Andwiththathefirstproducedhispacket,andlaiditby;butthattheLordMayor,andtherestofthecaptains,tookforsignofgoodtidings。
