Onlyforthat,theendmighthavebeendifferent,for,oncesighted,Gillespiewouldhavebeenrescuedbyhisfriends,orthosefriendswouldsurelyhaveshareddeathwithhim。

ProfessorFeatherwitcaughtonenameindistinctly;thatoftheyoungAztecinwhosecompanyBrunohadsetforthonhisill-starredventure;andhopingtolearnmoreofimportance,hecausedtheaerostattohoverdirectlyabovethatparticulargroupofredskins。
Waldo,neverstoppingtocounttheriskhemightthusfetchuponthemall,silentlyloweredthegrapnel,bymeansofthedrag-rope,givingaboyishchuckleasthethree-prongedhookdescendedamidstthatgathering,thesightcausingmorethanonesuperstitiousbravetoleapaside,withcriesofamazedaffright。
