Andbyhiswilesandstratagemsheundoesaworldofmen；butthereisaseed，andtheyshallservehim，anditshallbecountedtotheLordforageneration。Theseshallseetheirsins，andthatChrististhewaytohappiness。Theseshallventurethemselves，bothbodyandsoul，uponhisworthiness。

Wherefore，accordingtohisabilityandallowance，heassaulteth，tempteth，abuseth，andstirsupwhathecantobehurtfultothesepoorpeople，thathemay，whilehistimeshalllast，makeitashardanddifficultforthemtogotoeternalgloryashecan。OftentimesheabusesthemwithwrongapprehensionsofGod，andwithwrongapprehensionsofChrist。Healsocaststhemintothemire，tothereproachofreligion，theshameoftheirbrethren，thederisionoftheworld，anddishonourofGod。
