CLASSIFICATION。
APRIORISMPhilosophy，accordingtoHerrDühring，isthedevelopmentofthehighestformofconsciousnessoftheworldandoflife{D。Ph。2}，andinawidersenseembracestheprinciplesofallknowledgeandvolition。Whereveraseriesofcognitionsorstimulioragroupofformsofbeingcometobeexaminedbyhumanconsciousness，theprinciplesunderlyingthesemanifestationsofnecessitybecomeanobjectofphilosophy。Theseprinciplesarethesimple，oruntilnowassumedtobesimple，constituentsofmanifoldknowledgeandvolition{8}。
Likethechemicalcompositionofbodies，thegeneralconstitutionofthingscanbereducedtobasicformsandbasicelements。Theseultimateconstituentsorprinciples，oncetheyhavebeendiscovered，arevalidnotonlyforwhatisimmediatelyknownandaccessible，butalsofortheworldwhichisunknownandinaccessibletous。Philosophicalprinciplesconsequentlyprovidethefinalsupplementrequiredbythesciencesinordertobecomeauniformsystembywhichnatureandhumanlifecanbeexplained{9}。Apartfromthefundamentalformsofallexistence，philosophyhasonlytwospecificsubjectsofinvestigation——natureandtheworldofman{14}。Accordingly，ourmaterialarrangesitselfquitenaturallyintothreegroups，namely，thegeneralschemeoftheuniverse，thescienceoftheprinciplesofnature，andfinallythescienceofmankind。Thissuccessionatthesametimecontainsaninnerlogicalsequence，fortheformalprincipleswhicharevalidforallbeingtakeprecedence，andtherealmsoftheobjectstowhichtheyaretobeappliedthenfollowinthedegreeoftheirsubordination{15}。
